KNYSNA NEWS & VIDEO - ANC’s Mncedisi Skosana is the new speaker of Knysna Council. 

He secured 11 votes, while nine votes went to the former speaker, Julie Lopes from the DA, and there was one abstention. 

Knysna Council has 21 members. Skosana has just given his first speech to council. More changes are expected during the rest of the special council meeting. 

A motion for the removal of the chief whip, Hilton Stroebel of the DA, has been tabled.
