Krejcir was sentenced to 35 years in prison for kidnapping, attempted murder and drug dealing and is applying for leave to appeal both the conviction and sentence.
The sentenced was divided as 25 years for drug dealing, 15 years for kidnapping and 15 years for attempted murder.
The Czech fugitive was arrested in November 2013 in connection with a R24 million drug deal.
Krejcir’s new lawyer James Grant says his client can’t be guilty of attempted possession of drugs because he never knew what the contents of the package was.
