Solo art exhibitions
The Knysna Fine Art Gallery will have three solo art exhibitions on 6 February. These include Classrooms of Dus by Robert Slingsby, Rehearsal for a Public Address by Benjamin Stanwix and Kontras by Jaco le Roux.
Art lovers can visit the gallery at 18:00.
Gardening@Leisure
On 7 February Gardening@Leisure will host its first meeting of the year at 10:00 at 5 Church Square, Leisure Isle. The guest speaker will be Gabriel Scholtz from Bromeliad Kingdom who will talk about growing and caring for bromeliads. Those attending are urged to bring a chair, a mug for tea/coffee, a hat and money for the raffle.
Garden Route Floral Art Club AGM
The first meeting of 2020 of the Garden Route Floral Art Club will be hosted on 18 February at the St George's Church Hall, Knysna at 09:00 for 09:30. The meeting will begin with the AGM and a relaxed workshop/demonstration titled, Its about the Branch', by Jill Fraser will follow.
Visitors are welcome at R50 each which includes a delicious tea.
Hobbyists unite
Every Wednesday morning, hobbyists meet at Iphupho Creative Designs where coffee and a heater is waiting for you while you knit, quilt, paint or do whatever you are currently working on, sharing ideas, learning something new, making friends. Iphupho Creative Designs presents ceramic workshops every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 to 13:00 at a nominal fee that covers all material, glazing and firing. Embroidery Guild
The Knysna Embroidery Guild meets the first Wednesday of the month at the Cearn Hall in Leisure Isle at 09:30 (please arrive a little earlier). Everyone welcome, experienced or novice, and bring your work to show or request assistance with.

• Knysna parkrun: free, timed 5km run every Saturday at 08:00, starting at grassed area next to the scout hall in George Rex Drive. The aim is to promote health and fitness. To register go to www.parkrun.co.za.
• Harkerville parkrun: Start at the field opposite the Harkerville market on Saturdays, just off the N2 between Knysna and Plett (about 22km from Knysna). Please be there by 07:45.
