TSITSIKAMMA NEWS - An extensive search has been launched for Hermie van Zyl of Langebaan who went missing on the Tsitsikamma hiking trail on Tuesday 21 October.
Van Zyl (74) a dental technician from Langebaan, was separated from his hiking group along the MTO Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve trail on Tuesday afternoon in the direction of the Heuningbos hut to Sleepkloof hut, wearing denim shorts and khaki short-sleeve button-down shirt.
A number of emergency teams, along with SANParks rangers, have been working around the clock to locate Van Zyl, without any success.
The search and rescue continues but wet weather hampered the efforts today, Saturday 25 October.
The search is being co-ordinated by Storms River SAPS.
