KNYSNA NEWS - On Saturday 6 January a peaceful protest demonstration was held in support of Palestine at the corner of Waterfront Road and Main Street.
People brought their scarves, flags and spirit all in the name of solidarity for Palestine.
The demonstration was organised by members of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Southern Cape for Palestine, and brought together members of all communities to call for a ceasefire.
The campaign was a means of shedding awareness on growing international issues and was a heartening display of the community’s compassion towards the cause.
The awareness campaign in Knysna precedes an upcoming demonstration that will be held in Sedgefield on 13 January.
