PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Bitou primary school learners were given the opportunity to celebrate World Read Aloud Day on 1 February.
As part of the programme, Bitou Mayor Dave Swart and other ward councillors visited schools along with local library staff and encouraged them to read more.
As part of the day's activities, Swart and his fellow councillors also read stories to children.
