PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS – Plettenberg Bay has hit the hotspot internationally by being recognised as a World Whale Heritage site.
Applying to the World Cetacean Alliance for this recognition was the idea of former diplomat and Plett resident, Rob Smith, who instigated the project after last year's Plett Ocean Festival.
Champagne glasses were raised in celebration of this achievement at the closing function of this year's Plett Ocean Festival, held at the Beacon Island Resort gazebo on Saturday 8 July.
