PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Local garden lovers are in for a treat when the Plett Animal Welfare Service (PAWS) hosts its 12th annual Plett Open Garden Day on Saturday 8 November.
This much-loved event will showcase five unique gardens, each set against the breathtaking backdrop of Plettenberg Bay's mountains, lagoon and ocean.
The day promises inspiration and enjoyment for visitors from across the Garden Route who return year after year. "We are grateful that so many people continue to support our garden day and we look forward to sharing another enjoyable day with them," said organiser Marsja Hall-Green.
Ouland Royale Restaurant, on Airport Road, will again partner with PAWS to host a plant and cake sale, featuring quality nursery plants at affordable prices.
A delicious array of home-baked cakes, scones, biscuits and muffins will also be available. Visitors can relax with coffee, tea and scones at Ouland between garden visits.
"Beautiful gardens inspire us all, and through this event, PAWS raises essential funds to continue providing primary health care to neglected dogs and cats," Hall-Green said. Last year, the event raised nearly R60 000.
This year's event is sponsored by Choice Properties, a leading local estate agency with a strong presence in Plettenberg Bay.
Featured gardens include Erasmus Garden, Blackbeard Garden and three Brackenridge Estate gardens: Hawkes, Sounes and Jones.
Tickets cost R220 (cash preferred) and are available at all gardens and Ouland Royale. Maps will be available at Barney's Information Kiosk, Market Square, from 3 November.
