KNYSNA NEWS - One hundred yellowwood trees that were donated to the municipality by Geo Parkes & Sons, almost a year ago, were never planted and are seemingly missing.
The question on everyone’s minds for a while has been: Where did the trees go?
Jim Parkes says that the trees were donated to celebrate the 125 years of the Parkes’ family contribution to Knysna.
“I’ve followed up with several departments at the municipality and was previously promised feedback, but up to this date, nothing”.
A set of questions was sent to the municipality regarding the trees and the response will be published in the Knysna-Plett Herald this week.
Yaseen Gaffar is after the trees – find out more later this week.
