KNYSNA NEWS - If you have an interest in orchids or you have an orchid collection, big or small, and you were not aware that there is an active Orchid Club in Knysna, you are in luck.

The Knysna Orchid Club holds meetings at the Leisure Isle Bowling Club on the second Saturday of every month, except January, at 09:30 for 10:00. 

The club has been operational for nearly three years and currently has 26 members.

Their meetings consist of lectures, discussions and demonstrations, obviously about orchids - growing them, propagating them, re-potting them, feeding and watering them, and how to keep pests and diseases at bay, among other topics. 

Meetings are not long-winded, but very informative and well worth attending.

Field trips are arranged from time to time, especially to see indigenous orchids, and collections of orchids by members and well-known growers.
