KNYSNA NEWS - From today, Friday 13 October until tomorrow, Saturday 14 October at 12:00, Knysna residents and visitors can view miniature gardens in Waterfront Drive and maybe get some ideas on starting the hobby for themselves.
According to chairperson of the Knysna Gardening at Leisure Club, Denise Voysey, the club decided to hold a miniature exhibition because they had to take the current water restrictions Knysna finds itself under into consideration.
“We usually had open garden exhibitions, but it has become too expensive and we do need to save water.
"We thought this exhibition would be a good idea to show people that anyone can make a little garden of their own. It’s a good hobby to get into,” she said.

Voysey said that there are about 70 miniature gardens on show done by members and non-members of the club.
Esther Townsend, web administrator of the club, said the public has loved the exhibition so far. “They come in, faces looking all normal, but when they leave there’s this little smile on their face that shows they loved it,” she said.
Get down to Metelerkamps in Waterfront Drive before you miss out on this miniature adventure.
