MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Local model, Rosie Venter, has been chosen as a semi-finalist for the Miss Teen Universe South Africa pageant, which takes place in 2025.

She asks for the public's help in collecting stationery, school clothes and other items to donate to those in need. She is required to do this for her pageantry work.

Call her mother, also named Rosie (076 118 7762), if you are able to make donations or would like to vote for her to win the Miss Teen pageant.
Also, she won a number of accolades at the Western Cape Modelling Championships in Bellville, Cape Town.
She won these medals at the championships, held on 11 May:
Catwalk - silver
Catalogue Photograph - silver
Interview- gold
Photogenic - gold
Evening Wear - gold
Casual Wear- platinum
Age group
She also achieved the highest score in her age group, 12 to 14 years, by winning these titles:
Overall Photogenic winner, Overall Interview winner and Overall Casual Wear winner.
Age 12 upwards
Besides these, Rosie walked away with the Overall Senior Casual Wear trophy because she achieved the highest score for age 12 upwards and the Overall Senior Model trophy, for the highest score, age 12 upwards.
Crawlers and Crowns
She is a model with Crawlers and Crowns Model Academy and she is a learner at the Mossel Bay Tutor Centre.
