Local boxers in on the big action

KNYSNA NEWS - This coming Saturday, boxing will take centre stage during the Ward 4 sports day as four local boxers – pictured here with manager Nelson Sophazi (centre) – prepare to prove their mettle against their worthy opponents.

On 25 November, boxing fans will fill the Chris Nissen hall in White Location where the action will start from 18:00.

Before the main bouts featuring Nwabisile Colani from KwaNokuthula fighting for the vacant Western Cape junior flyweight title against Lazola Mjonono from Cape Town, and Bossiegif boxer Unathi Mndwana taking on the experienced Sonwabo Twatwa from Grhaamstown, these four KNysna boxers will entertain the crowd.

They are (from left) junior welterweight Lwanda Madikane, junior featherweight masonwabe Mayapi, flyweight Sivenathi Zazini, and junior bantamweigth Thulani Hono - each boasting medals which they won earlier this year.
