KNYSNA NEWS - Fire crews from the Knysna Fire and Rescue Department have been fighting a fire on the hillside between Hornlee and Upper Old Place since this afternoon.
It is believed that they were on scene from as early as 13:00.
The direction of the wind indicates that the areas most under threat are above Old Toll Road in Upper Old Place.
It seems as though the majority of the blaze has finally been brought under control and all signs at this point indicate that Hornlee and the areas on the south side of the N2 are safe.
