KNYSNA NEWS - This past weekend a team of firefighters from the Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) informed members of the Buffelsnek community in Knysna about fire safety.
The firefighters taught them how to prevent fires from breaking out in their surroundings and showed them how to carry out measures to minimise the risk of fires.
The lessons, which form part of the GRDM's Forest Villages Fire Safety Campaign, are being given to the residents of forest villages on the Garden Route.
The GRDM said during May the campaign, which was launched in April, would also be rolled out in Beervlei, Knysna, and the Bitou municipal area.
