PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - The weekly club run of the Knysna Marathon Club took runners to Plettenberg Bay once again, where they enjoyed another chilly start to the morning of Sunday 22 August.
In their weekly run, the group of determined runners from KMC started out at the Engen garage in Plett just after 07:00.
The runners then took on the tough hill up the N2 and made their past Kwanokuthula before turning off onto the Avontuur Road. From there they passed Wittedrift before emerging at Keurbooms and making their way back to the starting point.
With 13 runners this time, they were joined by runners from Plett. KMC club captain Melikhaya Msizi says it was a rewarding run. "It was quite cold in the beginning, but once we got warm it was fine. But it was also nice to run new routes, everyone enjoyed it," he said.
For this week's run they'll be back in Knysna, with an added fun incentive for runners.
"I'm planning a winner-takes-all lucky draw with an entry fee of R10. We'll put all the names in a box and then we pull a name to see who wins. The more people, the more money the winner gets!"
