PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - The Western Cape MEC for local government, Anton Bredell, visited Plett today, Tuesday 20 January, to avail himself of the water situation in Plett and the greater Bitou.
Bredell visited the Plett desalination plant at the mouth of the Piesang River, where the plant’s operation was explained to him by plant manager Christo Lombaard.
The MEC was accompanied by various senior Bitou managers, including Acting Municipal Manager Chris Mapeyi.
Bredell, according to his spokesperson Wouter Kriel, will later visit the Akkerkloof Dam in Knysna, along with Western Cape Premier Alan Winde.
