PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - There weren't many birdies for Bitou Mayor Dave Swart at the Plettenberg Bay Golf and Country Club, only Egyptian geese.
Or that was the joke from the terrace at the club as Swart finished his round for the day, along with his wife Dorothy, during his annual charity golf day.
All indications are that the efforts of the day, led by main sponsor Raw Africa Boutique Collection, returned gross revenue of nearly R100 000.
The profits of the event, which saw many businesses enter, is expected to be more than R80 000 and will go into Swart’s Mayoral Fund to be used for deserving charity causes in Bitou.
