KNYSNA NEWS - A lively 80s-themed celebration with a powerful purpose is set to light up the local social calendar on 21 March.
The Human Rights Day fundraiser, presented by Better Live Events and Blend Country Restaurant, promises an unforgettable evening of live music, retro beats and community spirit.
The event will combine entertainment and activism, with all profits donated to Kaws, a well-known animal welfare organisation dedicated to protecting and caring for animals in need.
A night of music and meaning
Guests can look forward to live music until sunset featuring The Bitou River Band, followed by an energetic 80s dance party into the night with DJ Feel Good Inc.
Organisers encourage attendees to fully embrace the retro vibe with a 'Dress 80s' theme and prizes will be awarded for the best-dressed guests.
Family-friendly fun
The event is designed to be family friendly, with gates opening at 16:00 and the programme starting at 17:00.
While the general ticket price is R160, children under 17 can attend for R100, making it accessible for families who want to support a worthy cause together.
The fundraiser will be hosted at Blend Country Restaurant.
Tickets are available via Quicket or directly from the restaurant.
