GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - A close-knit group of friends from Switzerland, led by former politician and cycling enthusiast Ruedi Noser, recently kicked off an extraordinary two-week cycling journey through the Western Cape.
The tour celebrates friendship, endurance and the joy of exploring South Africa's open roads.
This 15-night adventure along the iconic Route 62 is more than a cycling challenge, it is a shared experience of discovery.
From the lush coast of George to the vineyards of Stellenbosch, the group is covering over 900km and 6 000m of climbing, supported by expert guides, mechanics and a dedicated on-road crew.
Behind the seamless organisation are two passionate travel specialists: TriTravel SA, known for fully supported cycling experiences, and RacePace Tours, specialising in bespoke, sport-specific tours worldwide.
For Noser and his friends, this tour is the perfect fusion of sport, travel and friendship.
The adventure will conclude with a farewell lunch at the Ernie Els Wine Estate in Stellenbosch next week, marking the end of an unforgettable ride and the beginning of lasting memories on Route 62.
