KNYSNA NEWS - The body of an unknown woman was discovered near the Red Bridge in Knysna last Friday morning.
Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies said that Knysna Police opened an inquest docket after the body was found in bushes next to a gravel road on Friday 12 December.
According to police reports, a member of the public alerted authorities after discovering the body at about 09:00.
“Upon arrival, officers were led to the body, which was found to be in an advanced stage of decomposition. The deceased had a tattoo reading ‘444’ on the left side of her chest," said Spies.
The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are currently under investigation.
