KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna Initiative for Learning and Teaching (Kilt) has begun its annual Back-to-School Stationery Drive today, which will run right through the month of December, ending on 10 January 2024.
The aim of this initiative is to provide learners in need with much needed school supplies to start the year off in the right way.
The absence of basic stationery is a substantial obstacle in schooling for 5.4 million students in South Africa. Kilt aims to close this gap throughout the holiday season.
The organisation, with the much needed support of the community, hopes to fill 100 stationery packs to provide supplies to learners in 2024.
Every R200 donated ensures that a child will have the essentials that they need for a successful school year. The community is able to track the donation progress weekly on the organisation’s website.
If the public would like to find out more information about the initiative and get involved, you can contact Robyn at robyns@kilt.org.za.
