KNYSNA NEWS & VIDEOS - Knysna municipality's Youth Day Celebrations are in full swing at Lourie Park commemorating the Youth of 1976. They have prepared an activity packed afternoon that is scheduled to run until late.

Knysna mayor Mark Willemse gave a speech commemorating the Youth of 1976 and challenging the Knysna youth to learn from the revolutionary youth.

An African poet also took to the stage and recited a heart warming poem inspired by the sacrifices made by the Youth of 1976, the blood that as shared and the dreams that were broken.

Elements, a local rapper, just got off the stage and now DJ Abo is getting everyone on their feet and has the 'Youth in their feelings' playing the hottest sounds in the country at the moment.

They promised it was going to be lit and it looks just about exactly that.
