PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - The mother of Dr Ellenore Meyer, a director of Tebelo Lighthouse in Plett, had a dream many years ago to provide food for communities in need.
Today, Tebelo Lighthouse has seen her mother's dream come true with the establishment of this community development-driven non-profit company at Holt Hill, along the N2 at Plettenberg Bay.
It has already presented its first course, a bakery course for five community bakers, that prepares them for owning their own bakeries in their respective communities of New Horizons, Kranshoek, Kwanokuthula and Qolweni.

Anzlin Booysen, a baker for 20 years, is formalising his diploma as a baker at Tebelo and says he is opening his own bakery in New Horizons soon.
