PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - A total of R14-million has been spent to acquire new service delivery vehicles for various departments of Bitou Municipality.
The vehicles include compactor trucks, a front-end loader for waste management, light duty vehicles for electric and water services, and a new traffic vehicle.
“These additions to the municipality’s fleet comes at a critical time, right before the festive season kicks off and service delivery demands increase significantly,” said Cathy Labuschagne, DA constituency head of Bitou.
“We wish to thank the multi-party coalition for being proactive in their approach to increase the municipality’s capacity to deliver excellent services to our communities,” she said.
“The DA in Bitou applauds the multi-party coalition government, under the leadership of DA Mayor Dave Swart, for upgrading its service fleet and ensuring that excellent services are delivered to residents.”
The new light duty vehicles will facilitate services.
