KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Police have opened a case of culpable homicide following the death of an unidentified elderly man on the N2 highway near Oupad on Monday 10 July.
The accident was said to have happened at about 08:20.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies, reports available suggest that a group of pedestrians were crossing the road when one of them was hit by a motor vehicle and landed in a ditch next to the road.
"The victim sustained multiple injuries. He was later declared dead by paramedics on scene," Spies said. Investigation into the matter is still underway.
