Update
KNYSNA NEWS - During the week of 22 to 26 July, the Knysna Primay School U13 hockey, rugby and netball teams embarked on their annual Cape Town tour, where they played against different schools each day of the week.
The group departed from Knysna Primary School on Monday 22 July and stopped in Robertson for their first game against Robertson Primary.
Unfortunately the rugby boys lost their first game 14-7. The netball girls also lost 8-4. The hockey girls won 2-1 and the boys had a great victory of 5-0.
On Tuesday the group visited the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town and went to Tyger Valley for dinner. Fortunately for them, the matches were postponed due to terrible weather. On Wednesday the teams played against Somerset West. KPS gave their teams a good hiding – the rugby boys won 12-0, netball girls won 25-0, hockey girls won 1-0 and the hockey boys won 2-1.
Thursday was one of the colder and wetter days of the tour. The group went to Grand West and had fun with Laser Tag and played against Eikestad in the afternoon. Eikestad had a very strong team, which made it an uphill battle for the rugby boys and hockey girls. The rugby boys lost 42-12, and the hockey girls lost 5-0. Netball had a good turnout with a score of 9-4 and the hockey boys won 1-0.
On Friday morning the wonderful tour came to an end. They bid Cape Town farewell and arrived safely in Knysna.
