KNYSNA NEWS - Well-known Knysna artist Bryan Keenen has been inspiring locals for decades with his brightly painted scenes of the beautiful town.
Keenen wishes to both spread this joy and assist in helping care for the elderly members of the Knysna community, which is why he has pledged to donate the proceeds of an online auction of his paintings in support of Loeriehof Old Age Home.
The auction will feature a selection of Keenen's beautiful depictions of the charm and beauty of Knysna.
His artwork often showcases the town's iconic landmarks, scenic landscapes, and the vibrant energy that makes Knysna so special.
"The process is going well and with the recent addition of my website, the exposure has been overwhelmingly positive.
"My aim is to help Loeriehof to pay a few bills, because running an establishment like that comes at great cost. Every little bit helps," says Keenen.

His art is inspired by the natural beauty of Knysna and the warmth of the community, but these are not his only sources of inspiration.
"The subject matter of my paintings do include my late dog, Jock, who left us about five years ago. Many will remember him as he was a legend in Knysna.
He was such a character that the inspiration came from him. The purpose is to always have fun in everything," Keenen adds. Loeriehof is still to determine a date for the online auction.
