KNYSNA NEWS - On 27 July, the annual Golden Games were held at Loerie Park Stadium. 

The event aimed to elevate the activities of older South Africans by focusing on sport and recreation activities while strengthening our senior citizens. 

It was attended by participants from various old age care centres, including Vermont Old Age Centre, Ithemba club in White Location, Masibonisani club in Dam-se-Bos, and elderly groups from Rheenendal and Sedgefield. 

The seniors participated in various events, including field events, duck walks, dress-up races, passing the ball, 500m brisk walk, rugby ball throw, jukskei and goal shooting. 

The Knysna Older Persons Forum, that organised the event, would like to thank Knysna Municipality, Dcas, DSD, Knysna Police, Red Cross, Rev Weber, and Mark Laminie of Knysna Fire Department for their sponsorship and partnership contributions.

The seniors participated in various events.
