PLETTENBERG BAY NEWSFLASH - All the stops are being pulled out to raise funds for Plettenberg Bay’s volunteer firefighters through a massive event on Saturday 30 September.
All the proceeds will go towards the #SoundstheCall initiative aimed at raising funds for local fire management units, after the significant role these volunteers played during the June Plett and Knysna fires which claimed the life of one these members, Bradley Richards.
The main event on the programme for the day would be the mountain bike race, an event for the whole family.
As the Springboks are set to take on Australia on the day as part of the Four Nations fixtures, McNamara said the match would be broadcast on a big screen.
The firefighters will earn the funds coming their way as they will be braaing to feed the crowds.
“We also have other entertainment planned including a jumping castle, the Cairnbrogie pump track, face painting and much more.”
