PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Plettenberg Bay police are investigating a case of murder following the death of an elderly man after a home invasion in the Keurbooms River area recently.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies said a preliminary investigation indicated that two men allegedly entered the Silver Streams estate at about 22:30 on Thursday 20 February.
"The men accosted the elderly couple and demanded cash as well as laptops. They tied the hands of both victims with wire before they locked them up in a bathroom and bedroom respectively," Spies said.
He added an employee of the estate discovered the body of the elderly man the next morning.
"An autopsy was scheduled to determine the possible cause of death of the deceased." The results of the autopsy have not yet been released.
