KNYSNA NEWS - A Digital Skills Programme was presented to 110 educators and general assistants from seven different schools in the rural and township communities of the Knysna area during September.
Participants were given digital literacy training to be able to use mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones for work and education.
The aim is that these educators will carry it forward to their learners, so empowering the youth with these essential skills to establish and further their future careers.
The training, which was organised by Western Cape Colab in collaboration with participating Nemisa Colabs, including SUFF Academy, was delivered by facilitators Laurenzo Langeveldt, Siphokazi Bandaswell and Deshaan Pick. It was conducted over three weeks, with sessions held at various locations to expand its reach.
Participants gave positive feedback and acknowledged the importance of providing resources and support to communities in need.
