KNYSNA NEWS - Members of the Knysna Arts Society were treated to a visual delight at the home of artist Faith du Plessis as she opened her eclectic, bohemian home studio to members for a visit and live art demonstration on Friday 27 October.
Guests had the inspiring experience of witnessing first-hand the process that goes into Faith's art work.
Du Plessis has established herself as a prominent figure in the Knysna art scene. Her journey as an artist began after completing her studies in Fashion Design at Pretoria Technicon in 1992. However, her true passion lay in painting, and she decided to dedicate her life to this creative pursuit.
With a primary focus on oil painting, her artworks are characterised by her vibrant colour use which expresses the boldness of her personality.
Beyond her own artistic endeavours, Du Plessis is also a dedicated teacher. She offers her knowledge and skills to other artists through art classes held regularly at the Art House.
The Art House provides a stimulating creative environment where students can draw inspiration from their surroundings and benefit from Du Plessis' contagious creative energy.
Guests of the Knysna Arts society were enthralled as Faith gave her live art demonstration.
