Update
SEDGEFIELD NEWS - The Sedgefield woman who allegedly conned prospective holidaymakers and accommodation establishments countrywide out of thousands appeared in the Thembalethu Magistrate's Court on Thursday 22 August.
Marianne Roux (32) was denied bail in July. Acting as a booking agent using the Facebook page Eden Travel Holiday Homes, Roux allegedly defrauded people by using deposits meant for accommodation establishments throughout the Southern Cape.
She was arrested at her home in Sedgefield on Friday 21 June.
The case was remanded to 27 September for further investigation. She remains in custody.
