KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Detectives are investigating a tragic incident that happened on Sunday 14 April resulting in the death of a 25-year-old man in Hamilton Street, Hornlee.
The incident, which occurred around 16:00, has led to the opening of a murder docket as authorities seek to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to preliminary reports, it is believed that an altercation took place between two men, ultimately leading to the victim sustaining serious stab wounds to the chest and arm.
Prompt medical attention was sought, and the injured man was swiftly transported to the hospital. However, despite the efforts of medical personnel, his injuries proved fatal and he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Law enforcement has apprehended a 27-year-old man in connection with the incident. He made his first appearance in the Knysna Magistrate's Court on Tuesday 16 April on a charge of murder.
According to members of the local community, the young man had played a rugby match the previous day, Saturday 13 April.
