BITOU NEWS - Garden Route District Municipality Firefighters responded to a wildfire not far from the Covie community, Nature's Valley, in the Bitou municipal area yesterday, Sunday 3 August.

The fire has since been contained. 

SANParks personnel assisted in monitoring the fire area overnight and mopped up areas where accessible.

Ground crews are entering the perimeter of the fireline this morning to perform final mopping up, to ensure that the lines are completely extinguished.
