Last week saw the end of the decade-long fight for some housing beneficiaries in Hornlee as they finally received their homes, 10 months after the project started in October last year. After the ceremony, Simmers and Van Aswegen visited five of the longest-standing beneficiaries of the project. At each house, the beneficiaries were moved to tears. Charles Botha expressed his gratitude. "I cannot say what this means to me… I am immensely grateful for the effort that has been put into getting us these houses," he said.
