KNYSNA NEWS - Neither some rainy weather nor a change in venue could stop Deep Intentions 3 from being a great success with roughly 200 people attending the event on Saturday 17 December.
It was all systems go in the days leading up to the show, that was due to take place at The Node in Oaks on Main. But with weather forecasts looking rather ominous, only a day before things were to kick off organisers had to move to a more rain-friendly venue.
This led them to a new venue in Knysna Industria – Rexie's Night Club on Waenhout Avenue.
The line-up was stacked with DJs from all around the Garden Route, with the bulk hailing from Knysna itself. Roxy was up first and she set the perfect mood for the evening that lay ahead. She was followed by Nazz, who with his Afrotech and progressive house continued with the good vibes and made sure that no one lost their groove as the sun began to set.
Next up was The Duud, who is a staple of every Deep Intentions event, and once more he did not disappoint as he crafted the ideal playlist with the night rolling in.
Smoothe was the penultimate act of the night, and with his dynamic range of tunes that are oh-so-soothing to hear, his set proved a turning point in the evening.
Things began to ramp up, flowing perfectly into the final set where Esmeralda took over the decks as a light drizzle began to fall outside. Her techno sounds provided an energetic injection into the crowd and the good times and good vibes carried on late into the night under her stewardship.
Everyone in the crowd had a great night, grooving to the music.
Members of the crowd got to socialise too, while grooving along.
