A total of R36 000 was won in the evening draw. Myra Prinsloo from Still Bay won R20 000; Patricia Mbingeleli from Mossel Bay won R12 000, and Johanna van den Berg won R3 000.
There was a total of R850 000 and five nifty VW Polo Vivo 1.4s to be won in the promotion. The last car was won by an elated Hanette Botha from Glentana, who drove it away after the final draw.
The casino's General Manager, Robin Seabrook, who was on hand to congratulate the winners said "Rocking Summer was one of our most successful gaming promotions yet. It was fast-paced, with winners every single week - and in the monthly super draws as well. Never before have we given away five cars in one promotion - we are thrilled at the response we got from our customers and enjoyed seeing our winners go away with their prizes. Thank you to everyone for participating.
"There is a potential R1-million to be won," said Seabrook in conclusion, referring to the Garden Route Casino's next gaming promotion 'Cashablanca'. It kicks off on Wednesday 7 March, running until 30 June, and the promotion is open to Strike It Rich members only. Members earn points playing their favourite slots and table games, which can be exchanged for tickets to the weekly lucky draws.
As with Rocking Summer, the Cashablanca weekly draws takes place on Wednesdays at 13:30 and 21:00, with up to R10 000 to be won in the afternoon draw and up to R40 000 to be won in the evening.
