KNYSNA NEWS FLASH - The case of four minor suspects, who allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl in White Location, has been postponed by the Knysna Magistrate’s Court on Monday March 20 for further investigation.
The case has been postponed to April 18.
All four suspects abandoned bail last month after they were arrested subsequent to events involving the complainant who was allegedly lured into a house and repeatedly raped by all four on Friday, February 10.
Members of the ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) were once again up in arms with the community and marched to the court before case was to be heard, in support of the victim and her family.
The mood was sombre at the court when the parents of the victim were refused to enter the courtroom when the suspects appeared.
The mother of one of the accused (identity withheld) said, “It pains me to be in this situation. I do not condone what happened, but I do hope that the boys get released even though that mortifies me.”
