With almost 70 members Sedgefield Tennis Club is one of the biggest tennis clubs in the region. Not only the growing number of members, but also the numerous activities makes the club a highly successful club.
Their annual membership fee of R100 for junior members is really a low price for playing a social sport.
The building of a practice wall is in the pipeline and the club only waits for the approval of the municipality.
The next activity of the club will be the Sanlam Tennis Challenge. A charity tournament sponsored by Sanlam and held today (Thursday 16 June).
The intention is to make this activity an annual event open to all social tennis players and to donate the income fees to a local charity organisation.
This year Sedgefield Tennis Club choose Masithandane who will spend it towards a youth project. There will also be special prizes, offered by Lake Pleasant Living.
More information on the club can be found on www.sedgefieldtennis.co.za.
