PLETTENBERG BAY SPORTSNEWS - A firm favourite among mountain bike riders, the Seeff Tour de Plett is once again promising the ride of a lifetime for all enthusiasts, with a variety of new trails to choose from.
The annual event is set to start and finish at the Keurbooms Caravan Park in Plettenberg Bay on 7 October with three distances to choose from – a 60km for the more serious riders, and a 35km and 18km loop for weekend warriors or anyone who wants to give it a go.
"We constantly try to improve and keep our routes fresh and this year is no different," said organiser James Stewart of Muddyfoot Adventures.
He said that Plettenberg Bay is fast becoming a mountain biking mecca with new routes and trails being developed all the time. "With 19 landowners opening their gates for a once-a-year route, it is unique. It is proper mountain biking organised by riders for riders."
The closing date for online entries is 18:00 on 6 October and late registration can be done from 07:00 the following day.
As Robberg Foods have come on board as a sponsor, the first 150 entries will all receive a R100 voucher that can be used at their grocery store in Plettenberg Bay.
