KNYSNA NEWS - The men's team of the Jaquars netball club sealed second place in the Eden Federation netball league tournament, which took place in Mossel Bay, this past Saturday.
They played against Omgee-rehab in the final, and narrowly lost 24-19.
Two of Jaquars' players, Carlyne Hendricks and Bradley Le Bron, received the individual accolades of Best Defender and Best Goal Shooter of the tournament.
Coach Lynn Kayster said that she is proud of her team because they defeated many teams against all odds, especially this year.
"We just kept pushing forward regardless of the financial constraints of travelling costs amongst other challenges.
"This is a group of committed and respectable young men who are a beacon of hope to the youth out there," she said.
