GOLF NEWS - A R130 000 prize is up for grabs to the golfer who hits a hole-in-one on the 12th hole (R100 cash buy-in) of the Kingswood Golf Course tomorrow, Friday 9 September, at a golf day in aid of Local Motion.
Local Motion is a George-based non-profit organisation that does community upliftment among the local youth and they are holding their inaugural golf day. It is a 12:00 shotgun start and the format will be a four-ball alliance, two scores to count. Registrations open at 10:30.
A coffee sponsored by Millwick's Cafe can be enjoyed on arrival and each player receives a goody bag upon registration.
The shotgun start allows for proceedings to move swiftly after the golf has finished. Local Motion will give a five-minute presentation on the organisation, whereafter the prize-giving, raffle and an auction will take place.
A raffle (four tickets for R100) will be held with a chance to win a springbok.
Local Motion is grateful to its sponsors for making sure that every player is spoiled on the day.
