FOOTBALL NEWS - Orlando Pirates have announced the signings of Chippa United full-backs Diamond Thopola and Phetso Maphanga as playmaker Thabo Rakhale moves in the opposite direction.
Thopola, 27, capped once by Bafana Bafana, has earned a reputation as a tough-tackling right-back and captained the Chilli Boys this season before a calf problem ruled him out for three months.
Maphanga, 24, a left-back, has been an ever-present figure for the Port Elizabeth-based side this season, with 14 starts in the 15 fixtures played.
