NATIONAL NEWS - Steve Komphela admitted Kaizer Chiefs were given a tough time by Orlando Pirates despite making it to the Telkom Knockout final via a penalty shoot-out on Saturday.

Amakhosi had to fight tooth and nail for this win, as they made amends for their 3-1 Absa Premiership defeat by the Buccaneers the previous weekend.

“We are delighted to have reached the final but we have to acknowledge it wasn’t easy. It was not only about proceedings today, they had a point of reference in terms of the previous encounter, which made things more difficult,” added Komphela.
