President Jacob Zuma has urged the youth to fight for economic transformation.
Zuma delivered the Nelson Mandela Memorial Lecture in Nyanga last night.
The president has profiled the life of late former President Nelson Mandela as a blueprint for young people to live by.
He says South Africans should further Madiba’s ideas.
Zuma adds that doing so, will guide the country towards achieving radical economic transformation.
“Education is one instrument that will address these three challenges, inequality, poverty and unemployment.”
The president says he’s awaiting recommendations of an inquiry set up to probe the feasibility of free higher education in the country.
Zuma also highlighted Madiba’s views on the importance of education.
