To give is sheer joy, therefore the Santa Shoebox project is now offering brand new ways for donors to become involved with this worthy cause.
NATIONAL NEWS - The heart-warming Santa Shoebox project has been collecting festive season gifts for children form vulnerable social background in orphanages, children's homes and care centres across the country and as far as Namibia for the past eight years.
Connecting people through the 'joy of giving', the theme this year is 'KISS - Keep it sustainable, Santa!' - and that is exactly what this inspiring goodwill organisation will be doing when it introduces some creative new initiatives this year.
Courtesy of an innovative new partnership with Checkers, a new Virtual Box option will be introduced for the first time, allowing donors who don't live close to any of the Santa Shoe Box drop-off zones to make their pledges online.
Kind-hearted supporters will also have the option to donate Proudly South African raincoats to children who live in high winter rainfall areas, to keep them dry on their way to school every day.
As a third new way to get involved in the Santa Shoebox project this year, corporate clients and other benefactors are invited to make a financial donation towards the new Santa Shoebox legacy fund that will provide additional support to children's facilities.
All of these options can be easily done via the new Santa Shoebox website, www.santashoebox.org. For full details of times and venue please see Find my local drop off.
Of course, people are welcome to opt for becoming a donor of one or more of the 100 000 Santa Shoebox gifts for children in need, this year.
Donors may register online now, as the project was already launched on 1 September.
