This after a disturbing image of a chicken foot piercing through a Pick n Pay boerewors shocked social media users when it went viral this week.
Posted by Priscilla Beukes, the image was taken after she apparently bought the Grabouw boerewors from the Hillcrest store.
“Never again will we buy meat stuff from there ever again. Its most disgusting,” she captioned the image.
Pick n Pay said in a statement the boerewors in question was returned to the store and Beukes received an apology and a refund.
The supermarket said the matter was investigated, adding that no chicken, including chicken feet, were used in making boerewors.
