NATIONAL NEWS - Police Minister Fikile Mbalula has condemned the robbery incident involving a group of Dutch tourists who were travelling from OR Tambo International Airport to their hotel in Fourways on Sunday, saying that the robbery amounted to an attack on the tourism sector and the economy.
The tourists' bus was stopped by a vehicle that was marked as a police car. A man dressed as a police officer and five other men dressed as civilians got in the bus demanded the tourists' possessions.
One tourist was hurt in the incident and was taken to hospital.
Mbalula has ordered the police to investigate the robbery and called for harsh punishment for those responsible.
